This product is soluble in water, is not easy to volatilize due to its large surface activity, is heat-resistant, antioxidant, harmless to human body, and does not corrode metals. defoaming principle
1) easy to spread and adsorb defoamer molecules replace foaming agent molecules to form a film with poor strength; 2) in the process of spreading, defoamer molecules take away part of the solution adjacent to the surface layer, so that the foam film thinning, foam stability is reduced, easy to be destroyed.
mechanism of action
The ability of silicone to defoam or inhibit foaming is due to its very low surface tension. Organosilicon compounds (silicone oil) interfere with the surface tension at the gas-liquid boundary, resulting in a defoaming effect. When the silicone is added to the foam medium, the small particles of silicone oil fall on the surface of the foam, and at the same time effectively reduce the surface tension of the contact point, causing a weak point in the outer skin of the foam, which causes the foam to break.
